John took this and processed it himself. He told me he applied a filter and cropped out the car.
At Field & Forest Acres
We spent the week on the island. The weather was perfect. I don't think I've swam this much in Tee Lake ever. Find more photos here.
My dad fixed up an old boat and today we took it for a spin in the Welland river. It has a few minor leaky spots left to fix but otherwise it will do just fine. J enjoyed dipping his feet into the river.
Happened to be on the Niagara Parkway last night at moonrise.
'I always like the feeling of when I receive a new book.'
We walked to the beach in our PJs this morning.
A bunny family took shelter in our front yard this year. The babies are cute as... well, heck. That's John's hand by the way. 🐰
From a couple of nights ago.
John and I went for a walk to the beach this evening, right before the storm.
Three days in a row I've beat sunrise.

Caught the sunrise on the beach today. 🌅
Happy first day of summer and happy Father's Day to all dads out there! I got a bunch of cool things this year but my favourite has to be this mug and I'll tell you why.
Earlier this week Nikki posted on Twitter about how I was able to book my second dose at a local pharmacy very quickly compared to trying for hours on the government's website (which is true, the Ontario site proved useless for me for booking). Someone from CBC radio caught wind of it, and ended up calling me and asking a bunch of questions, because as she said a lot of people were having a similar experience with booking directly online.
We spent a good 30 minutes on the phone as I gave her my story (which I won't bore you with today) and then she asked me if I'd like to talk about it on live radio the next morning. I eventually declined, because I'm not comfortable with getting political (I'm not a very political guy) especially when I know it would be scrutinized by a bunch of listeners who would (like I would, even though I might not know anything about the subject) pick things apart that I say.
The interviewer also was trying to gently persuade me into focusing on how "terrible" the experience really was even though I said it did help with providing the phone numbers and contact information to all of the local pharmacies, all in one place, which was helpful.
Anyway, long story short, this mug will now forever remind me of the time I was almost on CBC Radio. It came with a note from Nikki saying "maybe some day 😃".
Regarding the vaccine though: if you haven't yet, just pick up the phone and call a local pharmacy. With little effort, you'd be surprised how quickly you can get yourself booked in. Do your part to get over this and let's get back to normal.
Love all the stuff I got for Father's Day this year. 😄 (Cell phone capture, excuse the quality please.)
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there. I got a new mug today. This one comes with a story.
One from the archives. Happy birthday dad! 🎈
One step closer.
Taken in Chippawa earlier tonight.
This is one of my favourite photos of all time. Taken in July 2009 with film, which we developed together at a photo lab. I printed a wallet-sized version of this and have carried it in my wallet since. Happy 8th anniversary, Nikki! ❤
