I watched First Blood (1982) this morning for the first time since I was young (we watched odd things in Hungary as we were growing up). Turns out the moral of the story is a broken soldier who suffers from PTSD from the Vietnam war, has nobody to tell about it and just wants someone to hold him and tell him things will be ok.
I feel this should've been the focus of my childhood instead of trying to make my own Rambo knife. 😒
We put together John's old seat for him so that he could join us at the table during Sunday lunch. He loved it and chilled through the whole lunch.

Sunday Funday was on the Welland River today. John drove the boat for a good while and he was -- as he said -- pumped about it.

The world keeps turning and everything keeps changing. Starting next week, my job description will change once again. I will now be Manager, Data & Applications.
In this capacity, I will have the privilege to lead a team consisting of developers, database administrators and data analysts in building custom web applications, databases and dashboards as well as assisting other departments across North America with process automation.
We had to say goodbye to Casey today. It was hard. Her legacy lives on at woof.bacso.org. 😢

Matea is John's oldest friend. They have only ever met at the market (he met her just after she was born, he was about 4 months old) but I love how they just pick up where they left off every time they meet.

Hung out in the yard this afternoon staring at the sky with John. We talked for a good while. Saw hummingbirds too.
