A snap from a few weeks ago. John is really coming along in his character and story development. It's awesome to watch him grow in every way. Today he told me at bedtime that the best way to prevent bullies from bugging him and his class is to be nice to them from the start. Preventive maintenance. That's my boy.
I spent a number of hours in front of the piano this weekend. I finally made it through the first movement of Moonlight Sonata. Only took 20+ years. 😣
This low & wide angle makes the scene huge but the opening to this bridge was about knee-height from where we were standing. Held my phone to the ground pretty much to get this shot. Taken during a drive around the Niagara Parkway.
Last time I got dizzy and lightheaded. This time it went really well. It probably helps that we filled up on sushi beforehand. 🍣

The whole house was up before the sun today. I type this at 7:40AM and we've already done breakfast, the dogs have gone out, and Nikki has gone back to bed. John and I are early birds normally so no chance for us. 🌅
Found this icy shape on our gazebo. Perfect prop photo for the Stowa TO1. By the way... this is one of the best watches I've ever owned. However! I'm now strongly considering trading it for a Laco Heidelberg - with the Top movement and double anti reflective coating... The Laco is similar in many ways (same movement) but has a smaller profile (which I prefer) and better lume.
Wish I got a clearer shot of this but I was zoomed in fully at 300mm without a tripod. These guys don't give you too much time to mess around. 😃

John wanted to take today's photo while we were driving on the Niagara Parkway tonight. So we pulled over and he took this shot.
A staple in our house: Old El Paso Hard Taco dinner kit with black beans instead of meat. Today we used freshly chopped mushrooms instead of tomatoes and it was a huge hit. John ate 4 of these.
Karen from Field & Forest Acres let us hang out with her 5-day-old baby goats today. Hard to pick, but if I had to I'd say this one is my fav.
