Prints - new prices Aug 6

Once again I've changed the print prices, they're way more reasonable than they were before... and I added limited edition Fine Art prints as well. Everyone should be able to afford smaller sized prints now so please buy some! The 'buy a print' link is easier to see on the main page now; when you click on any image, the link should be right under the larger version of it.

Exhausted 4/20/10

Driving around the country for 4 days straight sure takes a lot out of you! Tomorrow is a day of rest. The day after that, down to Apagy. As I said before, check out the photos from the trip: http://jui.cc/dw

Then and Now 4/02/10

I got the idea when I tried to find out more about some photos I found on a flea market. Trying to discover where they were taken I looked around my city, found the locations and took photos to compare then and now. Mixing them was just a experiment and because I was happy with the result I decided to do the same with other historical photos. I am a historical consultant for film, tv, authors, museums, etc. and I even have a 1930s lifestyle. History is part of my daily life, I can’t help but see the shadows of the past.
Found in a PetaPixel post.

365 project fail 1/16/10

I tried this one photo a day for 365 days thing but I only lasted 13 days legitimately :) I haven't posted since the 13th... However, I caught up with some random stuff around the kitchen and will try to continue even though it's more like a 363 day project now...

The 365 Project 1/03/10

Sunrise drive with Nikki and Pircsi 9/13/09

Went for a drive with Nikki and my sister at 6am and caught the sunrise over Niagara Falls. You can find some photos of it in the archives. Too bad Nikki's camera died and she couldn't enjoy it fully.

More print price drop 8/29/09

I lowered the prices on prints to be a bit more reasonable while still making a bit of profit... I tried chromasia's pretentious pricing scheme initially but that seemed like a bit of a ripoff! So now, coupled with the 25% off the first 100 pritns coupon, you can't go wrong. I know there are over 1800 photos on the site, but there are a few ways of browsing them: tags, random photo, random page, random tag or the traditional chronological archives. I'm sure there's something that I can print for you to fill a space in your house :) You can even send me your ideas of photos you'd like to see on here, and I'll see if I can do it (as long as your request is reasonable of course.)

25% off the first 100 prints sold 8/25/09

Browse the photos and if you decide to purchase one, use the coupon code 24CEBE to get 25% off. First 100 sales only.

Prints now available 8/25/09

You can now buy prints of selected photos. Visit the prints page for more information.

Back from the Island 7/29/09

We're back from a weekend at the island. Lots and lots of rain... click here for the photos from the trip. We ended up going to Algonquin park as well, which was very nice. If you've ever thought of going, but haven't yet, I hope you do soon! In other news; the rain we got up north traveled down to the region as well and as such Hamilton got flooded this weekend.

Roll through the Rollei 7/19/09

This past week I put a roll of black and white film in the Rolleiflex and shot most of it on Wednesday when we took my cousin Anita to Toronto. Yesterday we developed the roll in my basement and the pictures turned out fairly decent. See them in today's archives.

Toronto the dump 7/15/09

Nikki and I took my cousin Anita to Toronto today.. we went up to the CN Tower and showed her around town a bit... we also drove by Christie Pits and saw all the garbage the people had dumped there because of the current garbage strike. It smells terrible. Sort of like... prunes--like when an old man is making moonshine and has barrels and barrels full of rotting plums...not that I know what that smells like--mixed with an outhouse that hasn't been cleaned in weeks which has been sitting in the hot sun ever since. It was also interesting to see all the city workers on strike... man. Not a good time to be playing the tourist thing... such a shame! On the bright side I got some photos out of it (see the archives) and even shot a few frames with the Rolleiflex, which I'll have developed soon.

Photo search 7/14/09

Another new feature... photo search. It's in the same spot as the random links mentioned in the previous post. Go ahead and give it a try.

Random tag/photo/page 7/13/09

I added a new feature today: at the bottom of the main page there is now a link to display a "Random: photo | tag | page."
