Equifax's REAL Phone Number 10/17/08
It's so hard to get to a live person when you need to talk to Equifax.. Everything is automated. A giant pain in the ass... If you've ever needed to call them before, you know what I mean. They want you to request your credit bureau to get a number which connects you to a liver representative... So to save some time and since I've already requested a copy of my credit bureau, the number to Equifax's National Consumer Relations--until they change it--is 1-877-323-2598. Happy complaining!
12/10/09: I got a tip that is has been updated to 1-866-828-5961 ... I called that number and it got me to a live person.
1/05/10: Another person reported the dispute number to be 1-866-481-8938 which I have not yet confirmed.
1/27/10: For those trying to reach Equifax from the US, the number (according to the comment below) is 1-800-203-7843
3/30/10: connected today using 800 203 7843 - anonymous
